Let’s grow together
Mangroves as a climate saver
Mangrove forests are one of the world’s most important ecosystems alongside rainforests. They can capture large amounts of harmful carbon emissions, thus making a vital contribution towards climate protection. They also provide a breeding ground for fish and an essential food source for a wide range of species, as well as protecting coral reefs and shorelines from erosion.
Funded through donations, Team Malizia and the Mama Earth Foundation are working with local communities to plant a mangrove forest that is robust and self-sustaining. The goal is to plant 1 million mangroves in the park in Mindanao in the Philippines.
