A race we must win
Boris Herrmann is still sailing “The Ocean Race” but already preparing for the next Vendée Globe 2024/2025, the toughest non-stop single-handed sailing competition in the world. At the same time, his Malizia Mangrove Park are ready to grow under the salty waves of Southern Philippines. Check the counter on this page to see how we go on.
Good planning
Again, a good example of how we plan to minimize losses when planting mangroves for the Malizia Mangrove Park. The older mangroves were planted by us about three years ago and already have stilt roots, so they are securely anchored. Now we can plant new seedlings around them, which were brought to the planting site in a sack by the two women. Every mangrove counts.
Further progress in planting mangroves
It is a pleasure to see that we can plant more and more mangroves. What is not visible is that it is also a lot of work. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our planters who support us. To keep track, we not only keep lists but also document the plantings through drone flights, videos, photos and entries in Google The screenshot shows an example from San Isidro, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental. On the left are the companies and individuals who donated mangroves.
